I know, I’ve been a bit of a bad blogger this month as I’ve rather let exams take over… Boring I know.
But since I’ve been procrastinating so well on Instagram I thought I’d give you a quick round up of my month through my photos.
I started the month at my favourite, Dalloway Terrace for an afternoon tea with some of my favourite bloggers for Angie’s literary afternoon tea.
The tea itself was beautiuful, and the backdrop was as beautiful as ever.
I also celebrated Sakura, the Japanese festival of cherry blossom at Sake no Hana which was wonderful. I love the restaurant and it was amazing to visit for such a special menu.
Okay, so I’ve been studying but I couldn’t not try Cocotte, a gem of a healthy eating restaurant in Notting Hill, which I can’t wait to return to.
In terms of events, I loved the Humble Grape, Fleet Street launch; a spot I’ll definitely be going to for a glass of wine (or two!) and some dinner. If you’re a wino this is an amazing spot; in fact I want to have a date night in their wine cellar!
I’ve been taking full advantage of the summer sun and David and I took some champagne to the park for a Sunday afternoon picnic. I love pinicing and I’m really excited to be putting together a guide to how to plan the ultimate luxury picnic (just as soon as I get these exams over with…!)
All exam endings need celebrated and with that in mind Roisin and I headed to Dalloway Terrace (again, I know) and ROKA Charlotte Street for some drinks… And of course we couldn’t not try some of my favourite dishes including the gorgeous yellow fin tuna tartar.
After our ROKA adventures we headed home to Clapham to whip up some espresso martinis; is there anything better than an espresso martini? Okay, maybe champagne, but you get me.
My study room (aka where I haven’t moved from apart from to rush out and take snaps!) has bene brightened up by these gorgeous blue roses for the last week! I love the colour, vibrance and luxuriousness of the presentation.
And then something magical happened… We had the most magical staycation at The Dorchester which I really can’t wait to tell you about!
I indulged in a chocolate afternoon tea with Colleen, before having my manicure done and having dinner and drinks at the newly renoveated The Grill at The Dorchester.
It was the most magical 24 hours I’ve had in London and I’m honestly so excited to tell you all about it!
Apart from The Dorchester, our other date night has been Film & Fizz at One Aldwych which I was meant to tell you about by now… But exams. Soon, I promise. If you’re looking for something fun to do one date night I’d highyl recommend it!
The day after exams are over we’re jetting off to Barcelona and honestly, excited isn’t the word. EEEK! I’m also trying to plan what we’re doing in August after I finish my next round of exams and at the moment I’m thinking Greece – I’d love if you had any tips or other ideas of where to go!
I’ve loved seeing Angie’s snaps from her Asian adventures and I’m really excited to catch up with her and hear (and read, of course!) all about it.
How has your May been?
