My Pinterest Worthy Ultimate Spa Bathroom

I adore going to a spa, I love the feeling of being totally de-stressed, of forgetting all my earthly problems, so when I was visiting one of Cowshed’s spas the other day, to get my hoofs taken care of, I started to wonder, what if I could do this at home?

Isn’t it so pretty? Oh Pinterest…

If I could actually have a spa at home – what would I put in it? And well, there’s only one place to go when you’ve started on these thoughts: Pinterest.

I’ll tell you something, my “My Dream Home” board is something to behold, it’s just all so pretty (is it strange that at 21 I know exactly what I want my house to look like? Pinterest, I blame you entirely.)

After doing a little research (being ill at home gives you a lot of time – no judgement please), I discovered that UK Bathrooms have actually done some research  on what we all want in our ideal spa bathrooms. So here we go, here’s what I would have if I could design my own at home spa.

First of all, I’m going to need a huuuuge bath. Huge. And this seems pretty peachy to me!

And it’s got to have jacuzzi jets, cause, you know, they’re the best.

Then to go all out, I might just require a steam room. I don’t know what it is about sitting in a steam room, or even better, a Cornish salt room that makes me feel so relaxed, and so good. It’s also waaay better than the dry heat of a sauna.

At this point, it would be ideal to dip into a little swimming pool, maybe an indoor/outdoor scenario. Cool down, do a few laps and get all the stickiness from the steam/salt room off my skin. Sounding pretty good so far? Okay, maybe the swimming pool is a little much… But hey, a girl can dream!

I have a real thing about having nice feet and well manicured hands – I don’t really feel finished or dressed when my hands and feet are a mess. So I’d love to be able to slip my feet into a nice foot spa so I can soften my heels. Then I’d slip over to a little nail bar and buff, file and polish away until my heart is content!

And what lovely products would I use? Well, it’s got to be a combination of Cowshed, The White Company and Jo Malone. Jo Malone for the bath oils, Cowshed for their creams and The White Company for their candles and scents.

Pretty dreamy, eh?

If you could design your ultimate spa bathroom, what would you put in in it?

  • For a minute, I thought this was yours! I've decided to redo my bathroom this year, it's goodbye to white floor tiles (they show every hair you moult!) and hopefully hello to a rain shower and sleek new fittings. Love that two person bath you've featured!

  • Ahh Suze, I wish it was! I love a nice rain shower – your new bathroom sounds ideal! I know, isn't it great? You're both there but with your own space – perfect! xx

  • Basically, this is my dream. The sky's the limit! Except when it's not – sigh! I love getting bathroom inspiration from boutique hotels I've stayed at. I used to visit them and think "This is gorgeous!" Now I pay more attention to the details like, "I like this because they've used metro tiles for the shower" or, "I love the sink because it's a counter-top bowl basin" … it's hard to put it all together though! Lovely post, Lauren – allowed me to daydream for a bit! xx

  • That double bath is dreamy!! I LOVE PINTEREST! But much like you, it is the source of much of my daydreaming and over-spending. Living in Qatar, we are lucky enough to have a few things like this on our doorstep – we have our own pool and 2 jacuzzis for instance. Sometimes I wonder how I'm ever going to be able to return home?!!

  • Haha the sky is indeed the limit! YES! I totally agree with you – my other half thinks I'm utterly crazy but I do the exact same thing. So hard to put it together, oh the stress. So glad you liked it! xx

  • I adore a good double bath – though I had never seen one like that before! Haha oh yes, much daydreaming is done on Pinterest, it's just the best. Ahhh so lucky – sounds pretty idyllic! It'll be a bit of a shock to the system I should think..! xx
