Writing this post has made me realise just how busy my July has been! I’m meant to be taking my gap 6 months to relax and catch up with myself, but, oops – that doesn’t seem to be happening! As long as I’m having fun eh?

I did just have a week at home chilling out, playing with the dog, going on lots of walks and spending time with my parents which was just as relaxing and heavenly as it sounds. Though I’m itching to get back up to London!

Travel

As I traveled to Amsterdam in June, I told you all about my weekend in Amsterdam this month. I explored this beautiful city with Amsterdam Unguided, visited the incredible Rijks Museum (and treated myself to some cocktails after!) before finally collapsing in Vondelpark after all that walking!
My inner foodie was also satisfied when we visited Ron Gastrobar – hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. If you’ve not already seen my glowing review (and the many, many Instagrams!), it’s some serious #foodporn and worth a read.

Graduation

A bit of a one off, but hey, you graduate once so it deserves its own section in my monthly round up! I couldn’t have been happier at my graduation – it was a beautiful ceremony and I had the chance to celebrate the past four years with some of my closest friends and family. Have a read all about the wonderful ceremony and the ball, two of the best days I’ve ever had.

It was also an opportunity to check out some old, and some new, foodie delights. When in Exeter you just can’t miss The Old Firehouse for their pizzas – they’re the stuff of legends! It was also lovely to find a new favourite in Circa 1924 where we had a lovely graduation dinner.
Since I no longer had a house in Exeter (the perils of doing your year abroad in your final year!) Andy and I had to stay in a hotel (oh the hardship) and were delighted by Southernhay House, a gorgeous boutique hotel right in the centre of Exeter.

Restaurants

Even though I’ve spent the last few weeks in Suffolk, that doesn’t mean that I’ve not had a few restaurant reviews for you. First up was Oka, a great sushi restaurant in Kingly Court where I finally met Angie and Polly and caught up with Jaime and Andrea. It was so lovely to meet these ladies and I can’t wait to see them again!
I popped (pun most definitely intended) into Beehive Place with my oldest bestest friend for a long overdue catch up. If you can make one of their pop ups this summer I’d highly recommend it as we had a fabulous evening.
And finally, I stole a quick lunch with Kirsty (who I really don’t see often enough – let’s change this girl!) at The Big Easy, which was great. Though Catherine has informed me that I must go to the Chelsea outlet – anyone fancy coming with me?!

London

I’ve certainly managed to drink my way around London this month (hiccup!) as I ticked off some of the bars I’ve most wanted to visit. I started off the month at Mr Fogg’s for their Wimbledon Soiree where I finally got to meet Colleen (her blog is coming soon!) and caught up with Kirsty. I really want to go back for their Tipsy Tea!

And if there’s one new bar you’ve got to know about it’s Wonderland Bar at Alice Underground! Lib and I had a great evening getting lost in the maze, playing flamingo croquet and drinking delicious cocktails. It’s well worth a trip down the rabbit hole!
As I’ve resolved to be a little more cultured and do at least one museum a month, I ticked off the V&A when David took me for a walk round his favourite museum.
This month’s London Living link up is all about brunch – and is open until Sunday night if you’ve not linked up yet! We’re starting to create guides for London so that we become the go to for collections like this. If you have any suggested topics, pop them in the comments below – I’d love to hear from you.

Recipes

A little quiet on the recipe front this  month, but I did bring you picnic perfect sausage rolls (so good they might not even make it to the picnic) and healthy lemon and poppy seed breakfast muffins, for those of you who are trying to be a little more healthy.

Life Lately

This month I’ve loved reading about Catherine’s trip to the polo, hearing that Jasiminne and Henry are finally opening their beloved Regimental Vintage tomorrow, finding a new afternoon tea courtesy of Jaime, and I’m now determined to visit Le Manoir thanks to Suze! Finally, if you’ve not seen it, Angie has just relaunched her blog with a shiny new design and it’s looking fabulous.
I was also nominated to About Time Magazine’s Top 25 Ones to Watch bloggers of 2015 which was very exciting! It was great to finally meet Suze, Laura and Jaime and to meet other great bloggers, like Sal

Finally, I was sent these gorgeous flowers from Bloom & Wild; they’re stunning and still cheering up my living room – full review coming next week.

I’m looking forward to Croatia next month! I’m desperate to get my bikini on and laze on a beach. We’re visiting Split, Hvar, Zadar and Dubrovnik so if you have any tips I’d love to hear them. I’m also meeting the lovely Laura for brunch at Quaglino’s which promises to be very fun, and to meeting Catherine and Zoe for dinner. I’m sure there’s going to be lots more too – it’ll be a busy August!
