So I forgot to take a before shot – but put it this way, my hair needed a good wash and generally some TLC. Does anyone else find that during exam periods or stressful work periods that your hair and skin seem to fail you?
But here’s what I looked like after!
I adore the design of the salon – hold your horses there are lots more photos, but firstly, how incredible tiles on the floor of the wash station? I missed the opportunity to take an #Ihavethisthingwithfloors Insta, but next time, I’m all over it!
Spot the little birds! I love that the brand really shines through at Duck & Dry, it’s all about feathers birds and eggs – I told you it was unique!
This is their lovely bar area, where you can sit for your coffee (or prosecco depending on the time of day!) and they even serve popcorn if you’re a little peckish.
Top tip for you ladies, if you’re heading to Ascot this year, the salon are working with Lock & Co Hatters on a really fabulous promotion. If you book your Royal Ascot blow dry or updo here, you’ll receive £50 a race day hat!
Now, I’ve already said that I love their decoration – I couldn’t believe that it was the CEO who designed the whole salon herself – what a multi-talented woman!
As it was RHS Chelsea and Chelsea in Bloom when I visited, they had a beautiful display right in the middle of the salon. It’s been designed by John Carter and really is something else. The colours even complement the design of the salon!
Looking for some new products? Or styling tools? Panic not, Duck & Dry have you covered there as well. Whether you’re looking for Cloud 9 or Davines, these feathery ladies are sure to have something for you. Check a full list of their stocked products here.
Anyway, back to my hair!
Amy blow dried each of my curls individually with a brush, which I always prefer to stylists who use a curling tong – I mean I can use a curling tong, but I can’t style my hair with a brush like that!
She popped a clip in each one and hairspray-ed my hair to help the curls set. So I felt like I had my morning rollers in for a while!
As we waited for them to set, I got back to having a good natter with Fatima about their gift cards and events.
Reason #2 I love this place – even their gift cards are beautiful and fit with their feathery theme. I’d love to open one of these on a birthday, as a bridesmaid’s gift or just as a little treat. Beauty really does spill out everywhere in this salon.
Events wise, they have some fantastic options – in fact, I wish I had known about this a few months ago for my 21st, as it would have been so much fun to get the girls together to get our hair done before heading onto the town for the night or before dinner.
Definitely a fantastic idea if you’re getting a group of ladies together! In fact, I’d really love to organise something with my blogging ladies at some point – I’m fairly sure it’s something we’d all love! Find out all about their events here.
I couldn’t have been happier with my finished blow dry! I felt so elegant, beautifully styled and positively glowing after such a lovely treat.
I asked for a classic style that suited me, and don’t you think that’s exactly what I got? I was so pleased!
