As you might have guessed from last month’s London Living topic, I’m a huge fan of brunch, and whenever the opportunity arises, I certainly won’t say no to a good brunch out.
Imagine my delight when I discover that a short hop, skip and a jump from Andy’s house is an absolute gem of a brunch spot: Flour to the People.

The menu is based around their main feast: beautiful homemade sourdough bread. In fact, it’s so good that I often buy a loaf to take home with me!
All your brunch classics are here – your pancakes and bacon (The American One), your French toast and bacon (The French One) and a good ol’ fry up (The English One). I love how inventive all the names are – it really makes this place stand out. 

I do love a good latte, so I was really pleased to discover that Flour to the People serve Nude espresso – one of my favourites! It was a very good start! 

Although I’d been before and had The French One (excellent and I’d highly recommend it), when I went back with my camera I knew there was only one option: The Eggs Benedict-ish. Ish I hear you say? Why ish? Well, their crumpets are homemade and based on a sourdough recipe – revolutionary and frankly, utterly delicious.

Beautiful hollandaise sauce, perfectly cooked eggs and delicious bacon (though I wouldn’t have minded an extra slice). The crumpets really were the stand out highlight – I don’t think I’ll ever go back to regular ol’ crumpets!

Andy opted for something more substantial: The Slamwich. 
This needs a good intro, I tell you – gorgeously French toasted sourdough bread, sausage, bacon, omlette. Oh yeah, this bad boy is a real hangover cure or an indulgent brunch.

So large in fact that Andy tackled his with a knife and fork! A real first I have to admit! 

Seriously good brunch indulgence!
