There’s only one thing to do when you’ve got work to do and it’s sunny outside: go for drinks.

It’s just not nice to be sitting inside all day when it’s a nice day; and coming from Scotland I’ve learned that when it’s nice outside, go and make the most of it ’cause it might not last an hour, never mind another couple of days!

So with that thought, I grabbed a couple of friends and we headed for Place des Lices to get a cheeky glass of wine or two.

// coat // shirt // jeans // shoes  (also in pastel) // Rayban sunglasses //

These jeans may just be the best summer jeans I’ve ever owned. I would never have expect to find the perfect jeans in The White Company, but boy, was I surprised. They cut at a great place, they have the perfect 7/8 length for spring and are generally all round winners!

The coat was a bit of a steal actually, one of those purchases that I found online and though “I’ll take a chance on it, but might send it back”, but oh no, I’m not sending this baby back.

And the shoes. Looking for a comfy black wedge that’s not too high and that’s comfy and well priced? (Did I mention that already?!). Then these are the babies for you. I don’t plan on taking them off all summer!

Finally, this shirt is a bit of a staple in my wardrobe. I found it in the sale (still in the sale!) and it’s the perfect white linen shirt – a very good investment piece if you ask me!

And Raybans, we’ll they’re just classics, and very easy to sling on as you run out the door!

Helena was, as always, looking like a Spanish babe!

Santé, mes filles! Not sure I’ll ever get used to not saying cheers when I have a drink!

This particular little square is a bit of a beaut, and Helena and her flatmates are very lucky to live above it in a really stunning flat.

Though I’m not sure I could deal with living across from Zadig&Voltaire, Max Mara and round the corner from Longchamp… Dangerous.

Incidentally, we went out during the golden hour in the afternoon which was just beau-tiful for photo taking!

I you ever make it to Rennes, sitting in the sunshine with a glass of vin in hand really is a must!
