Oh wow has September been busier than I had expected! With lots going on both on my blog and in my life, I don’t think I’ve stopped to catch my breath.
The start of September saw the end of our holiday in Croatia, which I’ve still got lots more to tell you about, and at the end of the month I was in Marrakech for a week with mum, so it’s certainly been a month dominated by travel. Not that I’m complaining..!
I was invited by Jess, The Travelista, to join some other lovely travel bloggers for a workshop led by the Royal Society of Literature and Colin Thubron, the travel writer, to discuss writing and how to travel and write at the same time. It was so interesting to hear from someone who is so experienced in this field and to be reminded that we should travel and to leave our own cultures at the front door so that we can embrace the place we’re visiting.
Just because I’ve been traveling doesn’t mean I’ve not been exploring London’s restaurant scene, too! I’ve had quite a few different restaurant experiences this month, from a fantastic Zomato Meetup at Pizza Pilgrims, trying Ninth Ward’s secret chocolate bacon burger (mhmmm) and finally trying Sake no Hana – a restaurant that is firmly in my top 5 in London now.
This month’s #LondonLiving Link Up has been all about The Best Restaurant You’ve Never Heard Of where I told you all about On the Bab, a restaurant I visited with Lauren of Elle Bloggs, who I quickly discovered was basically my twin.
As always, we had some amazing link ups, but my favourites were Honey’s review of Dozo (another restaurant on the list!) Emma’s new brunch find, Beany Green and Angie’s review of Dinings.
I’ve not been in London much this month, but I did have time to stop by the breathtaking Heartbeat Exhibition by Charles Petillon.
Finally, before leaving Split, we took the opportunity to visit the beauty of Plitvice National Park – one of the most stunning places I’ve ever been.
My final Croatia post this month was me sharing some of my favourite days of this holiday when we were island hopping from Hvar – a real must if you’re visiting this incredible country.
After Marrakech, the post holiday blues have well and truly set in, so I’m already planning my next escape, and I really hope that it’s going to be to Jersey: a gem of an island where my best friend lives.
Well it’s a busy one – again! I’m really looking forward to the London Restaurant Festival (you can read my guide here) where I’ll be trying some of the best restaurants in London with Angie, Lauren and Andy.
This weekend Becca (the Jersey bean) is visiting which I’ve been looking forward to for ages – I haven’t seen her since Graduation so I can’t wait to catch up!
Events wise, there are quite a few that I’ve got in the diary, including Stylist Live, a very exciting #MuscadetMagic experience which will be on the blog soon, as well as a trip to the Langham hotel to try their restaurant’s new menu.
How is it October already?!
