Travel Tips: The Best Bars in Paris

There’s always going to be a part of me in Paris; no matter how long it’s been since I’ve been in my favourite city I think there’s always a mirror image of me sitting in one of  the best bars in Paris… Aka some of my favourite spots. Having been inspired by the 6 coolest bars in Paris, I decided to round up my favourite bars (and trust me – I’ve had enough time to figure this one out!

In fact, it came to me when I was writing this that these are also some of the best places to have champagne in Paris… You can take the girl out of France, but you’ll never stop her drinking champagne..!

1. Le Bar, Ladurée

Laduree Le Bar

I mentioned in my luxury tips for Paris post that this is an absolute gem of a spot for a cold glass of champagne after a day of shopping on Avenue Champs-Elysées and some lunch, but they’ll also whip you up some pretty impressive champagne cocktails, too. I’d recommend ordering one of their cocktails that come with their own macarons – they’re gorgeous!

2. Le Bar, Four Seasons George V

For a true sense of luxury, it’s got to be Le Bar at the Four Seasons George V. I know that Angie too loves this hotel and bar and visited on one of her most recent trips to Paris. If you’ve not been before it’s definitely somewhere that needs to be visited; a real gem and a hotel that really lives up to the luxurious Four Seasons name.

I’ve shared recently that I love making my own cocktails at home and I wanted to share a few more videos that will help you recreate some of these Parisian inspired classics at home. Starting with a Baton Rouge!

3. Renoma Café Gallery

Across the road from number 2 is a slightly hidden restaurant with a very modern décor and vibe that I insist on visiting every time I’m in Paris. For the location it’s in I think it’s an incredible venue at great prices, whether you’re looking for a dinner or just some drinks.

Mum and I visited last time we were in Paris but one of my favourite memories is visiting with Becca and Alice two years ago after I’d paid a visit to Louis Vuitton for a very special purchase!

They sell my favourite New Zealand sauvignon blanc, Ned, but they’ll make you some wonderful cocktails that will have you dancing the night away in no time!

4. Le Drugstore, Avenue Champs Elyésees

A perfect spot with this view…

Avenue Champs Elysees

I don’t think you can argue that this is one view that you want to enjoy with a champagne cocktail in hand. It’s a gem of a place for a pre-dinner cocktail before heading to one of the many incredible restaurants in the 8th arrondisement. Oh, and it’s attached to a fabulous shop so if you can’t wait for some Kiehls products or some Pierre Hermé macarons, this is the spot for you!

5. L’Avenue

Ever since I’ve been old enough to remember I’ve walked past L’Avenue in the golden triangle and thought of it as the beautiful people café. There are endless people, all dressed exceptionally well and all looking very glamorous sitting at tables here, enjoying delicious cocktails and seemingly endless glasses of champagne. Casual luxury at it’s finest if you ask me.

There’s something about tequila cocktails that screams girls night to me, and the sound of the L’entrée des artistes tequila cocktail is something that me and the girls could definitely get on board with! It sounds like the perfect summer drink that I can see us enjoying in the London (or Parisian!) sunshine.

Oh Paris, I’ve got to go back soon, it’s been too long!
