So it seems that summer is well and truly on its way – at last! And that means one thing in the realms of the style addicts that we are – a new wardrobe! See what I’m currently lusting after this summer right here.

Summer Wardrobe

So from left to right, top to bottom!

First up is…Blue and white summer dress ’cause I don’t know about you but I really struggle to find nice, simple beach friendly summer dresses and this little beauty seems to fit the bill perfectly. And as you’re about to discover, it’s not black – which is a serious bonus in my wardrobe!

I’m also loving…Floral lace summer dress, perfect for a dressy summer garden party or a nice night out/dinner in London. I love the twist that Missguided have taken on the classic white lace dress.

Because even in summer Britain can’t promise us the sun all the time… Two-toned trench coat – again, another twist on a classic wardrobe stable: the trench. I love the different tones in this, and it looks light enough to be the perfect spring/summer transition coat.

The bling choice… Silver chunky necklace I adore statement necklaces, even though I seem to have only a few in my wardrobe. I’d love to style this with this next lovely dress!

Two-toned blue summer dress If there’s one colour that’s present in my wardrobe more than black, it’s blue! So this beauty jumped right out at me when I saw it. I love dresses that have an overlay, it cuts you at such a flattering point, and these tones are stunning.

Because you need a go to summer dress… Blue dress with white hem It’s a classic, there’s no denying it, and it’s on trend as it takes inspiration from the denim trend that is everywhere at the moment. Super feminine, and very deserving of a place in my wardrobe!

The ultimate cami… Low back cami What is it about a low backed top that makes it super sexy? I don’t really know, but this cami has it down to a tee. Okay, so it’s black (sorry) but it’s a wardrobe staple, and it pays to have a fair few staples in your wardrobe. It also would be divine with the linen trousers or the white skirt…!

Leather chain sandals It’s no secret that sandals are always present in summer, but you can’t say no to a pair of comfy, solid yet stylish sandals. Just wait till you discover where these beauties are from..!

Every summer wardrobe needs at least one floral number! Daisy print dress is my choice for my florals. It’s the go to dress for when you’re on holiday, and you just want to get dressed and go – can’t beat a nice, light dress, can you?

The showstoppers… Black snakeskin heels This brand is a newly discovered favourite of mine (mainly because their prices are exceptionally good and their styles are beautiful) and this style has stolen my heart. It’s a great update on the classic  black summer sandal – and it really won’t break the bank either.

Because, wardrobe staples.. Black linen trousers I think I railed against my mum for years when she suggested black linen trousers (sorry mum), but I’m now totally in love with them. So great for those not entirely earth scortching-ly hot days but when it’s warm nonetheless. Pair it with the low back cami and the snakeskin heels for a great but classic outfit.

Because white means summer.. White crossover skirt There’s nothing I love more than finding a good skirt – even though white is a little tricky for me being a pale skinned Scot! But this skirt I’m determined to try – it looks stunning, and it looks like such a flattering cut.

The out there but I still kind of  love it… Bandeau leaf print dress I have this dress is a backless skater number and wanted to share it with you but it seems that it’s all but sold out (sorry), but the pattern is available in this beautiful style and also in a skirt, so even if the skater dress isn’t in your size, you can still grab this lovely pattern at bargain prices!

And finally… The Bag.

Isn’t she a beauty? This piece of gorgeousness is from one of my new favourite brands, Olive Cooper and can be found here. It’s the perfect size for taking you from day to night and being super stylish all at the same time. If you’ve not heard of Olive Cooper already, I highly recommend you check them out – they’ve got some really beautiful bags, whether you’re looking for a clutch, a day bag or sometime in between. British made and beautiful – what more could you want?

What’s on your summer wish list this year? Or have you already bought your summer wardrobe?
