Travel Link Up: Photo Albums, Holiday Memories the Old Fashioned Way

So I know I’m a millennial and all, and that I’m meant to love technology (which I do), but I’m also a lover of printed photographs. I’ve got oodles of photos on my laptop, my phone and my tablet but the ones that I look at are in albums.
When we went to Galle, Sri Lanka, last summer I fell in love with one of the shops, Barefoot, and quickly snapped up 3 photo albums, two little and one large, so that I could really remember our trip and save all of our photos in a memorable way.

You’ve got to admit, they’re stunning albums, and even better, they’re completely handmade, which I adore.
Fast forward 6 months, when we’re just back from Venice and once again I want to print our photos and album them.
So why can’t I find a pretty photo album? Am I the only person in the world who still prints photos?!

Imagine my delight when I email Barefoot essentially begging them to ship a few albums to me and they say that they already have a UK stockist!

So if, like me, you’re old fashioned enough to still print photos, speak to Lazy Lizards and they’ll sort you out with the most gorgeous photo albums I’ve ever had.

Then all you need are some trusty glue dots, and some photos.

What better way to round off a holiday than being able to look back at your photos for years to come?

  • So do I! I don't know why it always feels more real – and I'm always much more likely to look at them than I am digital versions. xx

  • Ahhh I love digital photo screens! Such a fantastic idea. xx

  • I am a huge fan of Barefoot too and actually own one of these photo albums!!!! It's so nice that you make an effort to get your photos printed – it's so rare these days. You'll be able to look back through these albums in years to come rather than trawling through Facebook albums…much more special and personal 🙂
