As you may have guessed Mr Fogg’s is the London home of Phileas Fogg from Around the World in 80 Days and is decorated just as exquisitely as you might expect. Remind me to read that book again, it seems only fitting.
All the cocktails on the evening were named specially for Wimbles and were based on Bloom Gin or Lanson champagne, and they were wonderful. Some were slightly sweet, and others, such as the one below, tasted about as alcoholic as fruit juice – wonderful.
Kirsty, Colleen (who I finally had the pleasure of meeting!) and I couldn’t resist tucking into these beauties whilst having a catch up and getting to know each other a little more.
Before we knew it our glasses were empty – whoops!
Talk about eclectic decor eh? Just look at those lampshades!
Almost as soon as our drinks were empty a cricket jumper clad waiter swanned over and asked us if we would like another. I mean, what kind of question was that? Kirsty was just out of work and I had had the train journey from hell so, it was a yes please from both of us as we ordered a Lanson champagne based cocktail.
As it was just after 7 on a beautiful summer’s evening it was quite busy when we were there, so the whole place had a wonderful atmosphere.
We had just enough time to nip outside into the baking evening heat and see the tennis court that had been set up in the Hendrick’s Botanical Garden that evening. Mr Fogg and his team really had gone all out!
We took a couple of quick snaps before diving back into the air conditioned haven!
